Today's Church faces issues that have always plagued the Body of Christ since the first Church in the book of Acts. The charcteristics that Paul writes in 2 Timothy 3:1-9 and 1 Timothy 4:1-2 describing the evil times and people that the Church will face are very evident today. Some key issues that the Church is facing today that emphasize the need for the leadership to take Spirit-led, proactive steps to address are: * Leadership without compassion and love * Lack of godly discipleship models * Lack of knowledge about the relevancy and study of the Bible, God's Word * Growing number of people inside the church, who are burdened and chained to addictive sinful lifestyles and do not know how to be set free in Jesus. * Increasing number of tares growing with the wheat inside the church (ref. Matthew 13) * Growing harm from deceitful people within the Church with intentions to divide and confuse true believers * Lack of discernment and being easily deceived * Increased lack of modesty in appearance and dress * Growing number of mental illnesses due to physical and/or emotional abuse, as well as holding onto anger and unforgiveness * Increased need for privacy of data and additional online security measures *Lack of accountability at all levels of church leadership
